The Pontoons were opened by Sir Chay Blyth on 24th July 2002.
The local pontoons were completed in May 2005 by the harbour association and funded by moneys made from main pontoon.
Diageo helped with the price of a finger and with matched funding, again from the main pontoons, we were able to add 8 extra berths over the last couple of years.
These local pontoons are priced low for locals to encourage the use of the sea—as seen in our donation of a berth for the local rowing club and show we a investing any benefit back into the community.
